"Mastering C Programming: A Comprehensive Guide for Beginners and Experts"
Understanding C Programming: The Foundation of Modern Software Development
C programming, developed in the early 1970s by Dennis Ritchie at Bell Labs, is one of the most enduring and influential programming languages in the history of computing. Its design has directly influenced many other popular languages such as C++, Java, and Python. Despite the emergence of numerous high-level programming languages, C remains a cornerstone in both academic and professional software development environments due to its efficiency, control, and widespread use in system-level programming.
Tumblr media
The Essence of C Programming
C is a general-purpose programming language that is particularly well-suited for system programming, including the development of operating systems, compilers, and embedded systems. It provides low-level access to memory through the use of pointers, which allows for efficient manipulation of data and memory management. This is one reason why the UNIX operating system, originally written in assembly language, was eventually rewritten in C.
The syntax of C is concise and powerful. Its constructs map efficiently to typical machine instructions, which makes it an ideal language for performance-critical applications. The simplicity of C's syntax, compared to other languages at the time of its creation, made it easier to learn and use while still being robust enough to handle complex programming tasks.
Key Features of C
Portability: One of the primary reasons for C's enduring popularity is its portability. Programs written in C can be compiled and run on different types of computers with little or no modification, which is crucial in today's diverse computing environments.
Efficiency: C is known for producing fast and efficient code. Its low-level capabilities allow programmers to write code that executes quickly and uses system resources judiciously. This makes it an excellent choice for performance-sensitive applications.
Modularity: C encourages the modular design of software. Functions in C can be defined and called independently, which makes code easier to understand, maintain, and reuse. This modularity is further enhanced by the use of header files and libraries.
Rich Library Support: The standard C library provides a rich set of built-in functions for performing common tasks, such as input/output operations, string manipulation, mathematical computations, and memory management. This extensive library support accelerates the development process.
C in Modern Context
Despite being over four decades old, C remains relevant in modern computing. It is extensively used in developing firmware and embedded systems, where direct hardware manipulation is required. The language's influence is also evident in many contemporary programming languages. For example, C++ was developed as an extension of C to include object-oriented features while maintaining C's efficiency and low-level capabilities.
Learning C provides a strong foundation for understanding computer science concepts and principles. Many educational institutions use C as an introductory programming language because it teaches fundamental programming techniques, such as variable manipulation, control structures, data structures, and algorithm development, which are applicable to learning other languages.
Conclusion
C programming is more than just a language; it is a gateway to understanding the inner workings of computers and software development. Its efficiency, control, portability, and rich library support make it an indispensable tool for programmers. Whether used in system programming, embedded systems, or as a stepping stone to other languages, C continues to be a fundamental part of the software development landscape. Its influence on modern programming practices and its role in the development of many other languages underscore its importance and enduring legacy in the world of computing.

Hey everyone!
I know it’s been a minute, but with the recent news that Automattic has laid off a portion of its workforce (including a sizable percent of tumblr's staff), it's a good time to have a quick chat about the future.
Now, as far as we know, tumblr isn't going anywhere just yet. No need to panic! However, I do recommend that you take into consideration a few things.
1: Backup your tumblr! Here's tumblr's official guide to doing so. It's always a good idea to have backups of your data and now is a great time to do so.
*I’ll also be including a handful of other links walking you guys through other backup methods at the end of this post. As I understand it, each of them have different pros and cons, and it might be a good idea to have more than one type of backup depending on what you want to save/how you’d like the backup to look/etc.
2: Have some place your mutuals/friends can find you! A carrd or linktree is a great way to list off anywhere you might find yourself on the internet.
3: Once again, don't panic! We don’t know that anything is happening to tumblr anytime soon—it just doesn’t hurt to have a backup. Better to have a plan now instead of being blindsided later.
*The other backup methods I’ve been able to find:
—First off, someone put together a document with several backup methods & pros and cons for each. (I believe it originated from a tumblr post, but with search being the way it is I haven’t been able to track it down.) This goes over a lot, but I’m adding a few more links to this post in case they might be helpful too.
—This post and this video were a good guide to the older “bbolli tumblr-utils backup for beginners” method mentioned in the doc (I used them during the ban in 2018 to make sure I had my main blog saved).
—I’ve also found a handful of python & python 3 tumblr backup tutorial videos out there, in case those would be helpful for you. (I haven’t personally tried these methods out yet, but the videos seem to go over the updated version of tumblr-utils.

random things to watch over the holiday break
happy holidays friends (⸝⸝^ᴗ^⸝⸝)❄️ as many of us have time off from our normal schedules, are taking long-haul flights or car drives, and will be spending hours in broom closets to avoid our terrifying families, i figure this is the perfect time to look back on the year and put together some watch links for over the break ❄️❄️❄️
panel shows
the christmas special of never mind the buzzcocks is always...something else
speaking of, icymi in a panel show miracle earlier this year an anonymous source provided beautiful archival copies of the first 12 series of nmtb — so this is the perfect time to revisit its classic era!!
junior taskmaster just wrapped up its first season! very wholesome, for the whole family (don't forget to check out the taskmaster podcast discussions for each episode, hosted by ed gamble!)
there were some great eps of cats does countdown this year but this one was probably my standout<3
because this series is on sky so we have to be careful circulating it, not everyone got a chance to watch rob beckett's smart tv when it aired this year! some of the panel guests include natasia demetriou, nicola coughlan, david tennant, romesh, and alan davies, among others
idk if this is controversial but i think the australian guy mont spelling bee MIGHT be better than the new zealand version... i'm not sure yet... i need someone else to watch every single episode and tell me what my opinion should be. i also want to thank this show for teaching me how to spell vinaigrette
this, this, and this were some of my favourite episodes of wilty this year!! btw the 2024 christmas episode just dropped!
there were a lot of wild lineups on mel giedoryc: unforgivable this year, but i'd recommend just starting with the first episode of the latest series because..well you'll understand when you see it
this year i made three big lists of random panel show moments that, in my humble opinion, you will love wasting your holidays hours clicking through: part 1 / part 2 / part 3
misc. tv
the royal variety performance 2024
the completely made up adventures of dick turpin was renewed for s2 so make sure to catch up!!! it's SO stupid hahaha
on a similar, less stupid note, ludwig will also be back for s2!
we're all still missing sean lock, who passed away three years ago, so it's never a bad time to revisit 15 storeys high — especially now that we have upgraded rips!
listen jon and lucy may be divorced but that doesn't make meet the richardsons any less iconic and the last two episodes just released!
s2 of alma's not normal is out this year and doing such amazing things for our sophie willan!!
this was a bit under the radar but backstage with katherine ryan was really fun! i love the mostly-documentary concept and it's one of my favourite things to see the backstage culture between these random comedians (judi x ivo killed me)
rhod gilbert's stand up to cancer documentary was really beautiful ;;
am i being unreasonable? (written by & starring daisy may cooper, from this country) is one of my underrated scripted comedies of the year
paddy mcguinness on who do you think you are
in the new jimmy carr-hosted game show battle in a box, pairs of celebs (mostly comedians) are trapped in an empty box for 24 hours, forced to play a series of mental and physical challenges. if you like the lineup then it's worth checking out!
it's christmas. just follow tradition and watch fry & laurie.
standup
ahir shah – ends (2024)
fern brady – austistic bikini queen (2024)
harriet kemsley – everything always works out for me (2024)
lucy beaumont – live from the royal court theatre (2024)
john kearns – the varnishing days (2023–4)
rhys james – spilt milk (2024)
suzi ruffell – snappy (2024)
tony law – the law also rises (2024)
films
monty python and the holy grail (1975) dir. terry gilliam, terry jones
withnail and i (1987) dir. bruce robinson
gosford park (2001) dir. robert altman
the personal history of david copperfield (2019) dir. armando iannucci
how to have sex (2023) dir. molly manning walker
rye lane (2023) dir. raine allen-miller
scrapper (2023) dir. charlotte regan
kneecap (2024) dir. rich peppiatt
youtube
been enjoying the dish podcast this year!! some of my favourite episodes include claudia winkleman, jordan north & william hanson, saoirse-monica jackson, gordon ramsay, sandi toksvig, richard e. grant, matthew macfadyen, and stephen fry
sandi toksvig hugging guests (2024 edition)
obsessed with this house tour with richard e grant
phil wang was on jolly?? it was fun to see his house
don't sleep on the taskmaster outtakes content!
radio & podcasts
green wing came back for a 6-part radio series and warmed all of our hearts<3
some of my favourite episodes of off menu this year: elis james, john robins, sam campbell, frankie boyle, lucy beaumont, jess knappett, joe wilkinson, tommy tiernan, ardal o'hanlon, huge davies (one of the all-time clips), danny dyer (this one is truly crazy on the ears can't recommend it enough)
the horne section podcast was back for a few episodes!!! if you've never listened before, start with this classic episode you're welcome
susie dent and phil wang have adorable chemistry on this new radio game show
david o'doherty and max rushden started a new podcast about what people did yesterday that has had lots of fun guests! start here if you need to give it a taste
a few RHLSTP episodes worth giving a listen: lee mack, bob mortimer, armando iannucci, rob brydon, peter serafinowicz, ade edmondson, fern brady, among others. if you find your patience waning, he's doing a couple of 'best of 2024' eps! richard's really been focused on his book podcast this year
books
frankie boyle & charlie skelton – a short history of the apocalypse: the vital guide to your future survival (2024)
miranda hart – i haven't been entirely honest with you (2024)
richard osman – we solve murders (2024)
i could go on forever but i've got to stop somewhere heh... looking forward to big fat quiz and more mindless telly in 2025! have a wonderful holiday x sarah

Quick Tumblr Backup Guide (Linux)
Go to www.tumblr.com/oauth/apps and click the "Register Application" button
Fill in the form. I used the following values for the required fields: Application Name - tumblr-arch Application Website - https://github.com/Cebtenzzre/tumblr-utils Application Description - tumblr archival instance based on tumblr-utils Adminstrative contact email - < my personal email > Default callback URL - https://github.com/Cebtenzzre/tumblr-utils OAuth2 redirect URLs - https://github.com/Cebtenzzre/tumblr-utils
Get the OAuth Consumer Key for your application. It should be listed right on the www.tumblr.com/oauth/apps page.
Do python things:
# check python version: python --version # I've got Python 3.9.9 # create a venv: python -m venv --prompt tumblr-bkp --upgrade-deps venv # activate the venv: source venv/bin/activate # install dependencies: pip install tumblr-backup pip install tumblr-backup[video] pip install tumblr-backup[jq] pip install tumblr-backup[bs4] # Check dependencies are all installed: pip freeze # set the api key: tumblr-backup --set-api-key <OAuth Consumer Key>
So far I have backed up two blogs using the following:
tumblr-backup --save-audio --save-video --tag-index --save-notes --incremental -j --no-post-clobber --media-list <blog name>
There have been two issues I had to deal with so far:
one of the blogs was getting a "Non-OK API repsonse: HTTP 401 Unauthorized". It further stated that "This is a dashboard-only blog, so you probably don't have the right cookies. Try --cookiefile." I resolved the issue by a) setting the "Hide from people without an account" to off and b) enabling a custom theme. I think only step a) was actually necessary though.
"Newly registered consumers are rate limited to 1,000 requests per hour, and 5,000 requests per day. If your application requires more requests for either of these periods, please use the 'Request rate limit removal' link on an app above." Depending on how big your blog is, you may need to break up the download. I suspect using the "-n COUNT" or "--count COUNT" to save only COUNT posts at a time, combined with the "--incremental" will allow you to space things out. You would have to perform multiple passes though. I will have to play with that, so I'll report back my findings.

About me:
I'm Aaron, and as my bio states, I'm 22. My current hyper fixation is COD Modern Warfare 2 (Reboot) but I also write for my non-fandom OCs which is in "The Iriecester Realm Masterlist".
Before you read further, please note that this is an MDNI account (which means no minors and no ageless blogs). I will block whoever has an ageless blog or is a minor!
(SOMETHING NEW: I've decided to make a separate blog for all of my 141 x Reader stuff. And you can find that there at @ghostsforghosts)
I've decided to redo my pinned post because I've decided to make this blog only for my OC stuff, including the ones for my OCs "Stone", "Kali", "Ladder", "The Lions", the Iriecester/Non-Fandom OCs (Labeled as "The Iriecester Realm Masterlist") and "Python".
I am now accepting NSFW Requests!
Here are the rules for requesting NSFW.
My asks are open, so feel free to say hi or request a Drabble for a Reader I’ve already done or one you want to see!

i need more mutuals who are into coding and engineering!! more info under the cut!!
I planned to become an electrical engineer like my stepdad but then I decided to change my path to programming. I'm currently studying at technikum (<- wikipedia link so I don't have to explain the whole polish learning system), programmer major.
this year I have exams from web development (10th Jan - theory, 16th Jan - practical exams) and next year I have exams from App development (both mobile and desktop).
I know C family languages, Java, Python and those ones I am currently using. I also know a bit of Kotlin and I think I will continue learning it.
For web dev I know HTML and CSS ofc but also PHP and JS.
Planning on learning more languages I can use for App and operating system development as well as just to know them cause I want to after this year's exams!
my learning list:
Lua (I heard it's easy but I can't really get myself to read anything about this atm idk why)
Ruby
Assembly
Rust
As for electrical engineering I don't know much tbh but I would like to learn! I just used CAD programs for technical drawings (dad taught me some basic things when I was still thinking about going his path) helped my dad fix things on his Solar farm, houses of our neighbors and I made a few very simple circuits for fun a few years ago. Now I'm mostly focused on programming but since I learned most of the things I need for exams I have more time to do whatever I want now!
I'd like to get to know more people so I can share and mostly learn new things since even though I'm coding for years I consider myself a beginner and I am a total beginner when it comes to electrical engineering.
I'm willing to be friends or at least mutuals with anyone who codes or makes websites or is in STEM! no matter what your specialty/interest is exactly and no matter if you are a total beginner or a professional ^__^
I'd also like to have some mutuals who are into old web development and retro computing!!!!!!!!
edit: I forgot but I'm also interested in physics and quantum physics

Well, about ACNH, how far are you on your island and do you have a theme for it?
I don't really have one yet, besides just wanting to build a giant botanical garden all over the island. I'm more of a collector than a builder in ACNH tbh, I go NUTS for collecting all the critters, fossils and art, plus I love flower breeding to the point where I keep track of the genetic codes of every single one of my flowers lol. And I keep track of everything with my handy dandy notebook <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media
YEAHHH pet tour under the cut!!!
SO to start off the list, heres my kitties!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Their names are Pixel (black and white), Nixie (high white blue calico), Link (fawn) and Navi (blue w red chest) and they're my rocks <3 Nixie is the youngest, and she is an absolute menace at any given time lol,, Pixel has to be the most clingy cat I've ever met, she starts wailing at me the second I go outside or into a room she's not allowed in, the poor thing :') She's SUCH a cuddlebug though <3 Link and Navi are littermates! Navi is such a vocal kitty, she meows at everything for any reason whatsoever, while Link is such a quiet but sweet and friendly little guy <3
Next up - my hens!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Right now I have two adult Light Sussex hens! They're not really into cuddles or pats, but that doesn't bother me. They're friendly snd happy, that's all that matters to me. I am however adding to the flock soon, and I'm excited to see how that goes! They're Swedish Flowerhens, and they only just hatched about two weeks ago so they're still just little babies <3
Tumblr media
I do actually have snakes too, but I can't seem to find any pics of them ?? But one of them's a lavender kornsnake and the other is what the breeder called a "soul eater" ball python <3

Hello! I’m looking to pay someone to put together a Minecraft modpack for my partner and I. Where can I go that is best suited for finding someone to do this? More detailed information below:
I’ve organized a list of the mods I am interested in in a spreadsheet noting the following information:
- Name
- Creator
- Type (mod, resource pack, etc.)
- Available Format (Forge, Fabric, both, etc.)
- Most Recent Version Compatibility (ex. 1.21.4)
- Category (ex. World Gen)
- Subcategory (ex. Structures)
- Link
- Description (a few sentences copied and pasted from the page)
The total list contains about 370 items, but many are duplicate versions in different formats. If I were to only use Fabric items, there would be about 210 available, and if I were to use Forge items, there would be about 310 available. I would really like to find a way to use both Fabric and Forge items if possible as there are many mods I am extremely interested in that do not have alternative formats. Additionally, this list comprises every mod I could find that I thought we would be interested in. I am sure several mods may be redundant or some may be incompatible, but I have virtually zero experience working with mods and modpacks so I am uncertain as to which ones would be categorized as such. I can update the list to reflect prioritized preferences if that is helpful, but I would also appreciate any advice or input you may have on which ones to keep or others you could suggest. I also tried to include required compatibility mods as I worked through each item but may have missed some.
Through the power of ADHD hyperfixation I was able to put this list together, but my schedule is generally incredibly full from school and work. I will be unlikely to have the time or energy to learn the coding necessary to put a well-functioning modpack together. Besides, if I’m going to learn any coding, I’m going to learn Python as that is most applicable for my field.
As such, I’m really hoping to find someone with knowledge or experience in Minecraft modding and modpack development to work on the project for me, and I am more than happy and able to pay for it.
We can discuss rates privately as I am unfamiliar with the time commitment associated with these kinds of projects, but please trust that I intend to pay fairly and generously! This is a huge help for me and I deeply appreciate your time and dedication in your work.
Please reach out if you are interested! I am most available to discuss in the late afternoon or evening (Central Time).
TL;DR Where can I find someone I can pay to develop a modpack for Minecraft?

Hi! You mentioned there are online tutorials/sites for learning Comp Sci and OSINT - any recommendations? Thanks!
Hi! You got lucky that today is the day I check my inbox lol. So. For comp-sci: - CS50X from Harvard is a public avaiable course on youtube I'd 100% recommend. These are the undedited (so far) lectures of 2024: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LPJfIKxwWc&list=PLhQjrBD2T381WAHyx1pq-sBfykqMBI7V4&ab_channel=CS50
This gives you all the basics you need to understand how coding and pcs in general works. (I had comp sci in my university course)
- Freecodecamp is a website full of FREE tutorials on several programming language. Advice: learn python. You will understand later on.
- The rest really depends on what you actually want to learn and why - each programming language has its own purpose and application. OSINT: -There is this full course: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwA6MmbeGNo&t=205s&ab_channel=TheCyberMentor (But you can find more on youtube.) - Bellingcat's resources: https://www.bellingcat.com/category/resources/ -IntelTecniques: https://inteltechniques.com/ - Osint Newesletter: https://osintnewsletter.com/
But here is the catcher: if you plan to do osint it heavily depends on where you live. I'm in Europe, so it means I'm under GDPR, therefore I must abid to stricter regulations than a US OSINT analyst. A lot of data that might be considered public domain in the US(big one: conviction records) are not in europe, and you won't be able to access it unless you are a registered private investigator at least (but in my case it's rare that I go after people, that's not a part of any task I might encounter at work). Not only that, but a lot of the avaiable tools are designed to work only with specific countries in mind for various reasons and there is a big bias on US-based investigations. If youre' not in the US I recommend you reach out to your local OSINT or cybersecurity professionals association, they usually have resources and specific information, a lot of times for free. Also keep in mind: OSINT has a lot of different applications and it depends on what you're doing with it. Journalists might work more with satellites and images (a thing I know nothing about), debunkers will definitely understand social media more, if you do business intelligence you will look more at news sites, trademarks and deposits and so on to reach your conclusion. You did your course... Now what? I recommend getting on CTFs, like tracelabs that I've linked above, but there many of them (osint dojo for example) or Kase Scenarios. These are safe environments to practice on (except for tracelabs since it deal with actual cases of missing people and it can lead to... not so good leads, allow me to leave it there) You should also understand how intelligence (as the discipline) works. There are several resources, but my favourite is definitely Psychology of Intelligence Analysis. It's a series of declassified training documents from CIA analyst Richard Bauer, that was based on Daniel Kahneman (yes, the "thinking fast and slow" author, and I also do recommend this book) research on euristics. Intelligence is fundamental because OSINT might be helpful to gather the data, but the data then needs to be processed, analysed and you also need to get a conclusion from that analysis. Studying intelligence will help you avoid a lot of pitfalls that happens when you do an investigation, such as not understanding when you know enough, if you're being a victim of your own bias, if you're missing something or if you're going with the right approach. But I have to admit that the best of training I've received so far is from my local OSINT association because I've been able to train with people that work(ed) in the military, get their advice and have a deep understand of the work itself (and the reason why I have decided to actually make cyber threat intelligence my job, even if I work for a private company and I have no interest in working for the government). And yes ethics is a big thing for the OSINT community.
I hope this is helpful enough!

So a long, llloooonnnggg time ago, back when this blog was a slightly more chaotic mess than it is now, I talked about the huge wave of "mythical" interpretations of fairytales in the 19th century. It was THE big thing back then to read fairytales as being translations or evolution of ancestral myth, or legends tied to the weather or the cycle of the year, or even as tales of cosmic events becoming tales of regular characters. I talked before of Anatole France - he had a LOT of fun mocking this in his texts about the symbols and analysis of fairytales, and when reading his texts there is a certain work that pops up: a book claiming that... Napoleon was never real, and is an astral myth.
This book was written as a satire by Jean-Baptiste Pérès, a fervent defender of the Catholic faith, in 1835. Pérès was very, VERY offended by how the boom of comparative mythology, analysis of legends and attempts at explaining the folklore ended up to people talking of Jesus-Christ as "merely" a myth or even presenting the Christ as being simply an alternate manifestation of a universal myth. For example there was this one text, by Charles Dupuis published in 1794, called "L'origine de tous les cultes, ou religion universelle" (The origin of all worships, or the universal religion). In it, Dupuis literaly wrote that when you looked at it enough, Christianity was simply "the religion of Nature and the Sun", describing the Gospels as mere legends whose hero (Jesus-Christ) was basically the same character as Bacchus, Osiris, Hercules or Adonis. It is the tale of a god born from a virgin woman on the winter solstice, who dies, goes to the Underworld, and ressurects at Easter - the Spring Equinox ; a god escorted by his twelve apostles whose leader is strongly similar to the god Janus, a god who vanquishes the Prince of Darkness to repair the evils of nature - in the end, for Dupuis, it was all a "solar fable". Dupuis concluded that it was useless to consider if there was a real man named Christ, as it was to wonder if there was a real prince named Hercules, because for him "Christ" was just a religious name for the sun, and Christians just were followers of the Sun.
It is to answer these types of claims that Pérès wrote his famous work today, "Grand Erratum, source d'un nombre infini d'errata", (Great Erratum, source of an infinite number of errata), which was a take-down of this "solar analysis" by pointing out how, by the same logic of finding analogies with myths of other cultures or natural phenomenon, you could end up proving Napoleone was a mere myth of the Sun.
In twelve points he proved it. I won't list them all but here are some points listed. Napoleon is similar to "Apollon" (Napoléon - Apoléon, Apolluo, Apolleo) and Bonaparte is the reverse of "mala parte", "in the wrong part" - so Napoleon Bonaparte means "Apollon in the right place", aka in its ascension. Apollo was born on the Delos island south of Greece from Leto, the same way Napoleon was born on Corsica south of France from Loetitia. Napoleon had three sisters: they are obviously the three Graces. He had four brothers, with only three of them becoming king - it depicts the four seasons, with the three king brothers representing the sun-driven seasons (Summer, Spring, Autumn) and the fourth brother being the sunless season (Winter).
Napoleon had two wives. The first one, who was sterile and he rejected, represents how the Greeks saw the Moon and the Sun as a couple. The second wife gave him a son: she represents how the Egyptian couple the Sun with the Earth and their son, who was born on the 20th of March, the Spring Equinox, represents the fruits of an Earth fecundated by the Sun. Napoleone beating up, "smothering", "killing" the French Revolution, which was often compared to an hydra, is equated with Apollo slaying Python, down to the pointing out that "Revolution" is linked to "revolvo", reflecting the snake rolling upon itself. Napoleon had twelve marechals in activity and four inactive: they were the 12 constellations, and the four cardinal points. He only had successful victories when conquering Southern lands, but he was defeated when he went too much North - again, solar symbol. Napoleone ruled twelve years: it reflects the twelve hours of the day. Etc, etc, etc...
Pérès' work was done to encourage Christianity, but in the greater scope of things it was remembered and heralded as an EXCELLENT way to highlight the flaws of such an excessive "symbolic reading" or "mythical analysis": still today it is used to reflect how, if people start reading WAY too much into folktales, fairytales and legends, they can basically come up with everything and anything, and come to conclusions that are objectively wrong once you pull your head outside of what you focus upon. Aka: if you are down to find an universal solar myth everywhere, you can claim that Napoleon never existed and was just a god of the sun for modern France.

[ID: Digital art featuring characters from the Apollo Justice trilogy. The 1st is of Apollo Justice, posing casually with crossed arms and a smirk in front of a plain, semi-patterned background. Following him is a drawing of Simon Blackquill in a plaid skirt, black boots, and a shirt sporting a bird skeleton. Text next to his head says, “Simon Blackquill would rock skirts”. The final image features a ball python named Spätzle, labeled as “Klavier’s snake”. It has the unique feature of a Gavinner’s symbol on its back, and is paired with a sketch of Klavier Gavin happily holding the snake, alongside an unrelated drawing of Ema Skye transferring her period pain to Klavier via malicious energy. End ID]

WAYS TO MAKE A PMD2 FANGAME/FAN SCENES WITH LITTLE/NO CODING EXPERIENCE
I normally see people recommend skytemple, but that never came easily to me as i'm not the most code-oriented person. So i'm opening the gates to something I find a lot easier personally!
PMD Origins.
PMDO is an open source fangame with a modding hub, and a ton of tutorials listed there! I used this to help me make what I have of the fangame. coding dialogue and cutscenes gets a little tedious, but there is an amazing code cheat sheet that you can edit + copy paste into your LUA editor to make it easier. Of course this is a lot easier w some coding knowledge, but I could get a lot done by following the tutorials and only knowing a little bit of python + c#! Check the embedded links to find the sources I used.
You can use and edit sprites and facesets from the sprite repository, with proper credit ofc!
Have fun making your fangames/messing around in the engine! :D

Last month at the wiki — March 2024
Every month, we highlight significant work done in the previous month by our editing community at Encyclopedia Exandria. This one is a LONG one, so fair warning...
March 2024 saw the creation of 83 (eighty-three) new mainspace articles! A bit more on why so many later, but first here's a selection of ten of them. You can find more at the 50 newest pages report.
Zora Manning, Lightkeeper for the Circle of the Crimson Mirror
Nokari, Lightkeeper for the Circle of Tide & Bone
Isle of Serenity, island in the Glass Sea
Nymph, type of fey
Pyre, sect of the Ascendancy
Ashley Middlebrook, producer at Critical Role Productions
Ruidian glass, material found on Ruidus
Rashinna, leader member of the Volition
Gaz Tomo, member of the Volition
Vezoden Amerai, champion of the Strife Emperor
So, why so many new articles? We created individual articles for every episode of Midst! Using information we already had in list of Midst episodes, we were able to create episode articles painlessly, programmatically, and promptly with Python magic. We've also made updates to our episode infobox for Midst to document airdates for the re-releases and for subscribers, illustrators for the video versions, and appendices links. Now that we've got individual articles, the summaries on the list were made more concise to provide different levels of summarization and to make appendices links easier to see. Work is also underway on the individual articles, including more robust summaries (now that they're standalone rather than in a table), appendices summaries, and illustration galleries. You can check out the articles for Unrise, Switcheroo, and Tempest for a peek at what we're aiming for and slowly moving toward.
Character infoboxes now have a place for movement speeds, making it easier to do thought experiments about which PC will win in a race. Also, we've historically had explanatory notes for multiple stats or DCs in a hover. We've changed our best practices to instead place these into a footnote formatted similar to references so that these notes can be accessed by mobile users.
The character infobox was also updated to handle stats for systems other than Dungeons & Dragons. We've added new items for Daggerheart (we're still getting a feel for what should be included), and we have options for a full custom stat array. This allows us to better handle Daggerheart characters in the future, should we see more of them, but also to better handle PCs in past one-shots who were not well-serviced by the less flexible stat handling. We've also inserted new fields to properly reflect Daggerheart's Community and Ancestry character options.

As always, check out our Candela Obscura coverage. Newfaire has been updated with more points of interest from the core rulebook. We've also got a lengthy bibliography of interviews related to the show on top of our regular coverage for this month's continuing adventures of the Circle of the Crimson Mirror.
